Charlotte’s Journey

I don't know where we would be without Dr. Phillips and Infant Acid Reflux Solutions! We are so grateful to him and this company for providing our Charlotte with relief from GERD.
When Charlotte was a newborn, she literally could not sleep. She was wide awake for hours at a time while all our friends commented on how "alert" she was. She would not sleep in a front carrier, would not sleep when rocked or bounced, would not sleep on our chests, and would only sometimes sleep after nursing.
She was never all that interested in eating, and could not suck more than a few sips from a bottle without turning her head away from the bottle and whining. We begged our doctors for medicine for 2 months before they finally gave in and prescribed Zantac after two ER trips and one urgent care trip for projectile vomiting and complete food refusal. Zantac worked wonderfully for a month, even though we had to keep upping the dose. At 4 months, everything went downhill. Charlotte started crying whenever I tried to nurse her, didn't sleep anymore, and stopped gaining weight. If she did sleep, she'd be awake for 2-3hr stretches in the middle of the night and we could not get her back down.
Our GI finally prescribed omeprazole, but the dose was so low that it made her so much worse. As I desperately googled for answers, I came across the term “acid battle” on a baby forum and a subsequent search led me to this site. At this point, we had not slept in months and were so tired and desperate. We booked an appointment knowing that if this did not work, we were out of options.
At our first appointment with Dr. Phillips, I felt immediate relief. Even though nothing had changed, he cared so much about our baby, listened to all our concerns and patiently answered all our questions - something none of our doctors did. We started Marci dosing with TCMax that week, and a month later (yes the acid battle is real and horrible) we had a completely different child.
My baby that never slept started sleeping through the night (12 glorious hours), napping on a schedule, and eating more comfortably. We still have hiccups along the journey and the reflux occasionally flares, but the difference is that we now have the tools and support to address it.
We are so thankful to have found this service. Please, if you have a baby suffering from GERD and are being told theres nothing much to be done until they “grow out of it,” give TCMax a try. My only regret is not having found them sooner.
