Holly Boorda

My name is Holly Boorda and I’m married with three children.  I completed my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Rhode Island in 2006.  I have held RN licenses in many states including Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and New Hampshire as we have traveled quite a bit due to the military.   

I have experience working in the Emergency Room at Mary Washington Hospital in Virginia and Onslow Hospital in North Carolina. I have also worked at Coastal Ear, Nose and Throat in North Carolina and most recently the Infection Control Department at Florida Hospital Tampa.

I found Infant Acid Reflux Solutions one night when I was scouring the internet trying to find something to help my reflux kiddo. He had an endoscopy at 9 months old and ended up having a bleeding esophagus due to uncontrolled reflux. He was on an H2 blocker but it literally was doing nothing. We were prescribed Prilosec but getting the little beads into him was hard because he hated juice and a lot of foods made him gag so putting it in something was out of the question.  Also,  how was I going to dose my child before he was supposed to eat when his eating scheduled was all over the place.  I was exhausted, running on empty and had two other children I needed to care for and our reflux journey had affected our whole family at this point.  I came across Infant Acid Reflux Solutions and literally said “ What  have I got it lose?” 

At the time I was working with the help of their group. I was nervous, scared, intimidated but I was determined to help my baby. That was 2017 and 3 clean endoscopies later and I haven’t looked back!

Those days were some of the hardest days of my life because of all the uncertainty but I’m glad I jumped out of my comfort zone and tried something new because my child is happy, growing like a weed and more importantly not in pain anymore.

I hold a special place in my heart for us moms who were and are going thru the reflux journey. It’s not for the faint of heart but there are providers here  who really do care and will listen to you and not brush off your concerns. 

I am very happy and thankful for finding Infant Acid Reflux Solutions and getting our son the appropriate treatment to thrive and be the happy child we knew he was.
