Tummy Care Max to the rescue
Our journey started when Logan was around two months. He started eating less and less everyday and arching his back. Then I notice that I could hear liquid coming back up from his stomach but he didn't spit up or vomit. I was worried sick because his formula intake was going down and down every day and he wasn't sleeping well either.
I was a member of BBC (babycenter.com) since before getting pregnant and I started researching the symptoms of infant acid reflux. I came across this wonderful group of mothers (Surviving Reflux) and there it was the answer to his problem. My baby had silent reflux.
I took him to the Doctor and that was exactly what she told me. She immediately prescribed Zantac which seemed to work for the first 5 – 7 days and then he stop getting better and started getting worse again. He was then switched to Axid with same results. He had an upper GI done to confirm a moderate case of silent reflux, but the pediatrician wanted me to keep him on Axid and just keep waiting for things to get better.
My baby got to the point where he was drinking only 7 oz of formula a day. Getting an oz at a time and sometimes none at all. I cried every single day at every feeding cause my little 5 ½ pounds baby wasn't eating.
I took him to three different Doctors many times begging for a solution and they just gave me the same speech:
“Babies spit up”
“Oh but he is not losing weight”
“You need to give it more time”
“Sometime mother's expectations are too high”.
So if I expect my baby to be able to eat, sleep and grow that is too high of an expectation? My baby doesn't even spit up he is a silent refluxer at least take 2 minutes to read his chart!
Babies cry?? Yes they do but they shouldn’t have to cry with pain and hunger. I finally got the pediatrician to send me to a GI Doctor. I had great hopes but when I made the appointment I needed to wait 40 days for him to be seen. And what were we supposed to do during those days? I knew he was going to get worse and start losing weight.
I was desperate and I spent many sleepless nights searching BBC for more answers and solutions.
I finally realized a lot of Moms were going thru the same issue and took the matter in their own hands. I wasn't ready to do it until a terrible evening when my baby wouldn’t stop crying with pain and wouldn't eat at all. My husband sent me to the store to buy Omeprazole and we gave him some with apple juice. We started that and things where not really improving much, not to mention how hard it was to give him the beads in the omperazole without him chocking and puking.
I kept researching and finally found all these mom's swearing by this product I never heard about before, TummyCare Max.
I order it immediately and tried it right away. Mixing was so easy and the support from the website was great. I had all the dosing information and support I didn't get from the Doctors. After 14 days being religious on the dosage my baby was a totally different baby. Eating, not crying, not back arching, sleeping and playing like any normal baby.
The change was a miracle to me. By the time I took him to the GI he was perfectly fine and normal.
There was a time during which TummyCare Max was not available and I had to come back to other ways to administer the medicine. We tried the mix with Mylanta, the half and half Omep/Zantac with CC and we even tried the pharmaceutical compound (the worst of all) nothing worked and just when I was losing hope Infant Acid Reflux Solutions came to the rescue making TummyCare Max available to all of us again. Today my boy is 23 months and has been medicine free since 18 months that we finished a very slow wean. I can certainly say that we tried all possible ways of medicine administration and nothing worked the way TummyCare Max did.
I am 24 weeks pregnant with a girl and I know the chances of her having reflux are huge but I sleep with ease cause I know I have TummyCare Max and the Infant Acid Reflux Solutions team's support to go thru the reflux nightmare once more. This time I won't try anything else with my baby girl. If she has reflux she will be on TummyCare Max from day one.
It was a long learning process and terrifying experience. But it end up with a happy ending and I do my best to spread the word and tell everybody what an incredible product TummyCare Max is. I am sadden for all those babies and parents that don't know about it and I will never stop recommending this product to everybody I know.
